Trixie is a filmmaker, writer and photographer based in the Canadian Rockies and Director of Acquisitions and Original Programming at ChimeTV. Building on production and script development experience at Drive Films, she has written and produced short and feature films including Dil Rakh, Vile & Sweet, and Walk With Me. Trixie recently completed the Banff Mountain Film Adventure Filmmaker Residency and has since directed short films, virtual concerts, and commercial projects for Travel Alberta, Paul Zizka Photography, Lowepro, Tourism Kimberley, and BC Culture Days. Her writing and photography have been published by Passion Passport, Mapped, Travel Alberta, Inside Himalayas, and more.

Meghan J. Ward is an outdoor, travel and adventure writer based in Banff, Canada, and a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Meghan has written several books, as well as produced content for films, anthologies, blogs and some of North America’s top outdoor and adventure publications. For five years she was the Editor-in-Chief at the award-winning Canadian Rockies Annual, with previous postings at Alpinist Magazine and Highline Magazine. Her adventures have taken her throughout the Rockies, ski-touring in the Arctic, backpacking in Nepal, and travelling to far-flung locations with her two kids in tow. Her travel memoir, Lights to Guide Me Home, was published in 2022.

Anandi Brownstein is a Documentary Filmmaker living and working on Coast Salish territory in Vancouver, BC. Raised between the mountains of Northern India and British Columbia, her diverse interests have lead her through a wide range of media landscapes – from lensing feature documentaries to schlepping gear for ski films to directing film campaigns for advocacy in India, Rwanda and Haiti. In her work as Director and Cinematographer she finds inspiration in giving voice to underrepresented peoples and issues, and communicating stories of resilience.

Jamie Wensley is a cinematographer based in Calgary, AB. His love for filmmaking began in his early teens, making hi8 movies with his friends. After attending film school, Jamie worked on set in the lighting and grip department on major motion picture films and television series. He now focuses his passion on cinematography, working with directors on projects such as Rockies Repeat, Herstory, and other films that have been screened at film festivals internationally. Jamie also leads Peakline Films (formerly Rundle Films), a production company committed to providing high end video services. Some of their clientele include Parks Canada, Hockey Canada, Bauer Hockey, and the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation.

Jane Marshall is an Alberta born travel writer and adventurer, and the author of 2 books: Searching for Happy Valley: A Modern Quest for Shangri-La (Rocky Mountain Books 2023) and Back Over the Mountains: A Journey to the Buddha Within (Hay House India 2015). She is the Co-Founder and Director of The Compassion Project, a Canadian registered charity serving the Himalayan valley of Tsum, Nepal. Jane lives in Canmore, Alberta with family. You can find her on the surrounding peaks, living up to her Blackfoot name ‘Walking Above.’

Nat Gillis was a pilot, photographer and poet based in Calgary, Alberta. As a wilderness guide, she logged over 1000 days in the field, led hiking, sea kayaking, whitewater canoeing, floe edge and sailing expeditions and perpetually found herself longing for the sense of freedom found in exploring secluded realms of the natural world. She released her first book of poetry, This is Where Atlantis Sank in 2021. Natalie tragically passed away when her plane crashed in June 2024.

Janice Sanford Beck is author of the best-selling No Ordinary Woman: The Story of Mary Schaffer Warren and co-author (with Emerson Sanford) of the eight-volume Life of the Trail series. Since then, she has worked in as program director of CHEP Good Food, garden partner at Largo Farm Community Shared Agriculture, and homeschooling parent to three. She is currently enjoying homemaking, learning about landscaping with native plants (wildflowers!), and honing her skills at knitting, spinning, and weaving from her home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Trent is known as the "fiery fiddle player" of The Fretless, a Juno award-winning strings quartet, and the band featured in the Wildflowers teaser. Also a member of the folktronica band, Speaker Face, Trent has worked on a number of albums as a side player, from bluegrass and folk to pop and electronic.

Esther is a talented audio engineer and sound designer based in Vancouver, BC. She specializes in post sound for documentaries and adventure films, since 2018.

Kristi Bridgeman is a Metis artist working in the traditional territories of the Lekwungen speaking people of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, and the WSÁNEĆ People. Her Metis ancestors are from Red River, Manitoba, St. Albert and Jasper, Alberta.

Lisa Shepherd is a West Coast Métis artist who designs culturally inspired custom garments, and teaches Métis beadwork & culture.

Truly at home with the wildflowers, Hailey Gooch is an interdisciplinary designer and artist based in Kimberley, BC. She graduated with a BFA in Fine Art from Emily Carr University in 2011 and earned her Masters in Landscape Architecture from UBC in 2019. She is currently pursuing her internship to become a registered landscape architect. With expertise in painting, sculpture, architecture and graphic design, she seeks any creative opportunity to work in alignment with the land and its people.

Doug Urquhart, co-founder of THE UPTHINK LAB, resides in Atlanta, GA. If he's not at the office, he can be found in the mountains shooting timelapse. Doug fell in love with the Canadian Rockies in 2010 and is best known for the short film, “Mountains in Motion: The Canadian Rockies.”

Matt is a Motion Graphics Artist, Editor, Cinematographer, Director, and Educator based in Stratford, Ontario. He has worked on commercials, television series, documentaries, feature films, corporate videos, and live TV. His diverse background allows him to be adaptable and has led to many unique roles and experiences on projects. He loves collaborating on creative projects and feeds off the energy and ideas of other creative people.
When he is not immersed in the video world, he loves skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, camping, photography, and music.

Wildflowers is filmed and produced on Treaties 6, 7 and 8 Territory, the traditional and sacred lands of the Niitsitapi from the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations); the Stoney Nation comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney; the Tsuut’ina Nation; the homeland of the Métis and Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation of Alberta; the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc Nations; the Mountain Cree clan of Chief Peechee; the Dene; and the traditional territories of the Katzie and Kwantlen Nations. It is with gratitude that we visit these landscapes.
