Wildflowers World Premiere at the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival

It was the goal from the very beginning, not only because the story lives here, that Banff was so integral to Mary’s life, that it is where Meghan now resides, and where director Trixie Pacis first pitched the film project as part of the Banff Centre’s 2020 Adventure Filmmakers Workshop. All of those factors make the news that much sweeter. But it was ultimately the goal because the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival (BCMFF) is the choice festival for outdoor filmmakers. It is highly regarded, highly competitive. We figured, from the outset, why not set the bar high? Why not aim for a BCMFF premiere?

But when you’re years away from completing a film, the goal can feel like a distant dream. For four years, we’ve been aiming for this premiere, so much so that even when we had to stretch ourselves to the limits to complete the film on time for entry (we made our final export the day before the submission deadline). We still kept the 2024 BCMFF as the dream and have several members of our team to thank for pushing hard so that we could submit before the deadline.

We submitted and we’ve made the official selection.

Wildflowers will have its world premiere on November 2 at 10am in Banff, Alberta, as part of the 2024 Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival.
